The Corning Cable Systems FDC-SMH-3 and FDC-SMH-5 Splice Housings are designed for the transition splice between UL-listed and unlisted cable at a building entrance or at pigtail splicing when used in conjunction with FDC Unit Connector Module Housings.
Flush-Mounting Kit Features:
- The rack-mount, 19 in (48 cm) or 23 in
(58 cm), or optional wall-mount housings provide
storage and protection of fiber splices in individually
accessible trays
- The single cabinet construction offers hinged front and rear doors with slide latches for easier access
- The housings are suitable for loose tube, tight-buffered and ribbon cables and can be mated with other FDC unit connector housings for pigtail splicing or can be used individually as rack-mounted splice housing
- The units accommodate a wide variety of Corning Cable Systems splice trays with a slide-out shelf (with improved slide mechanism) for easy tray access
