The PI-BP is a steel constructed back plate designed to strengthen the base of the Toshiba DKT-2000 series telephone when used as a wall telephone. We have received feedback from Topshiba dealers nationwide concerning the situation of broken keyholes on these phones when being wall mounted. The keyholes that mount the telephone to the 630-type wall jack tend to break away thus leaving the telephone unsecured. Althouogh in most applications, the bases can be replaced with those of desk telephones, we have found that environments such as retail stores i.e. pharmacies, restaurants etc., have most, if not all, their telephones wall mounted.
