Phone handset with amplified receiver controlled by a rotary (thumb wheel, shown) volume control. Electronic circuitry is completely contained in the handset.

Used for added receiver volume in noisy surroundings, poor line quality and for the hearing impaired
Includes a carbon compatible transmitter for clear transmission
Hearing aid compatible
W6 volume control level is fixed until the thumb wheel is rotated
