The Vidicode Fax Server shares PRI channels with the telephone system and operates using pre-assigned telephone numbers. All calls received on the pre-programmed phone numbers are intercepted by the Fax Server - they do not pass through to the phone system.

One of the benefits of this is that no separate infrastructure is required, such as analogue ports on the telephone system or separate fax lines, which also saves installation and configuration costs and work. No longer is it a problem to assign specific fax numbers from the many telephone numbers in the PRI bundle. Each fax number is assigned to email address of an employee or department who then have their own direct fax number.
