This Compact ICS Rel 7.1 SIP Software Card can be used to upgrade existing Compact ICS systems or is a great choice for new Compact ICS installations.

For Seamless upgrading to CICS 7.1 is only supported from CICS 6.1. If you are upgrading a system running CICS 6.0 or older, you will need to upgrade to CICS 6.1 software card to perform a two-step upgrade. Failure to perform an interim upgrade to 6.1 software will result in the system performing a cold start, resulting in the loss of all programming.
