The RUF 2700 features a built-in fax switch. The built-in fax switch allows the RUF 2700 to share a fax line so the unit can be downloaded any time, day or night.

A technological breakthrough gives the RUF 2700 Series the memory of the future. This new, non-volatile flash memory means the recording will never be damaged or interrupted due to loss of power. Flash memory eliminates the need for back-up batteries.

All program elements, including audio production, volume level and setting of security code can be downloaded remotely from a touch-tone telephone. First time programming can be done at a dealer's facility and the unit can be sent to the end-user's site fully loaded.

A human voice guides you through operation of the on-hold unit. This makes the RUF 2700 Series the friendliest unit available.

RU 2700 Series Remote On-Hold Unit
The RU 2700 unit is a solid state, remote programmable, digital recorder that stores audio programs for information on-hold. All programming features can be controlled remotely over the telephone line.

    • RU 2700T - The standard 2700 with a programmable time of day clock. Customers can override the clock at any time if there is a change of plans or hours.
    • RU 2700F - The standard 2700 with a built-in fax switch.The fax switch allows the 2700 to share a fax line so the unit can be downloaded any time, day or night.

Installation:

  1. Connect RU to the phone line it will be answering. Make sure no other products, such as modems or faxes are connected to this line. For Model 2700F, connect fax machine to fax line on side of unit.
  2. Connect AC adapter to a suitable 120 VAC outlet and the other end into the 12VDC jack on the side of the unit.
  3. Connect a cable (provided) from the music on-hold input of the phone system to the 600 or 8 ohm output of the RU. The 8 ohm output is amplified for systems that require amplification. (Try the 600 ohm first if unsure which to use.)

The RN 2700 unit is a solid state, remote programmable, digital recorder that stores audio programs for information on hold.This unit also answers the line and gives messages to customers who call after hours. All programming features can be controlled remotely over the telephone line.

  • Night Answer Mode
    • Answers Call – The RN 2700 answers the line on the first ring, gives up to a 32 or 45 second message (model dependent) and hangs up.
    • Automatic Disconnect – The RN disconnects immediately after message completion, or upon premature caller hang up. In either case, the RN is immediately available to answer the next call.
    • Call Counter – A call counter counts the number of calls the unit receives. Knowing the number of after hours calls gives the business important information.

Installation
