The Siemens gigaset S45 cordless phone is optimized for use in the typical North American residence. Technology provides greater performance in range and clarity of voice by incorporating a look before transmit protocol. After a clear channel is estrablished, the Siemens digital sampling provides a guaranteed bit rate to assure outstanding voice quality. This method also handles echo suppression and allows full duplex hands free speaker operating in each handset.
