Aiphone's Chime Com2 Door Intercom is an entrance intercom system designed for all around easy use. When the doorbell button is pressed a chime is generated on the inside station(s). Simply press the talk button to speak and release to listen. By using your existing 2-wire doorbell wiring, you can have both a doorbell and communication with your front door. Inside, a 2-stroke chime sounds when your door station is pressed and will also ring the second room station as well. You can easily talk to whoever is at the front door by simply pressing the talk button and the person at the front door talks hands free.
You can also monitor the front door station area and the room station turns off after 15 seconds if there is no conversation. A second room station can also be added on the back porch or in another location in the house that is convenient to you (when using two indoor stations please note that they do not have the ability to communicate with each other). Wiring is very simple, you need just one wire pair from the door to the inside speaker, plus another wire pair from the inside speaker to the power transformer (included). When using 22-gauge wire, the master station can be up to 245' from door or 590' when using 18 gauge wire (the CCS-1A requires a PT-1210N 12VAC power supply). The CCS-1A is a very simple "do it yourself" installation.
