    Installing the HA-40 In-Line Handset Amplifier:
    1. Unplug the handset cord from your telephone base. Insert this plug into the jack at the front of the Handset Amplifier.
    2. Connect the Handset Amplifier to your telephone base as shown.
    3. Pick up the handset. If there is a dial tone, you have installed the Handset Amplifier correctly.
    Power Requirements:
    • The Handset Amplifier is powered by a 9-volt battery (provided). Install a 9-volt battery in the battery compartment before operation.
        • Note: Always disconnect HA 30/40 from the telephone before replacing the battery!
